Editing photos doesn't really update + misleading

Hi, I tried to make a photo with my phone, sync it to Ente, then edit it with my phone's app, save, and sync again. My Ente app showed the edits as if they synced! But the website never got the updated version. So there are two different interfaces to Ente with different pictures: my phone shows the updated one, the website does not. (my context: I'm making a photo album and I want to upload first edit later. e.g. blur stuff. Copies aren't as good for that because I'd have to hunt down the originals and delete them)...

Lock Button Ignored on macOS

Hey, just wanted to point out something with the Auth app on macOS. The lock button doesn’t seem to work if the device lock option is already set up. Even after enabling something like Touch ID or a password, clicking the lock icon doesn’t actually lock the app. It just stays open like nothing happened....

How to recover lost 2fas of websites

I lost a few 2fa of websites of the past few months due to bad internet connection. I opened the ente auth android app a few days ago and it displayed that session has expired, login again and few items could not be saved and to export the codes. I didn't export the codes and logged in again. I lost half of the 2fas of websites....

Lack of syncing indicator icon

Can we add a loading spinner or "Force Refresh" on the top bar to let the user know that Ente Photos is updating it's database or whatever missing datas? I mostly use my Desktop to manage the library, tagging people faces. When I pick my phone up, seems like faces analyzed data are not "pulled" to the phone automatically. I have to open Settings -> General -> Advance -> Machine learning to make the sync progress happens....

2FA Does not activated in settings

When I turned off a 2FA and go web browser and setup again, and return the ente photo android app and 2FA section is not enabled.

Add passkey on Bitwarden

I have ente auth and Bitwarden installed on my device. When the passkey option pop ups, I don't see Bitwarden but only "this device". It doesn't happen with other apps. How can I configure this?

Too Laggy [Fixed - Solved]

when I open the ente photos app in my android 14 device (everything updated, latest etc its not problem of my phone) its too laggy like when I go my photos or initial start its too lazy laggy.

Duplicate photos showing up on iOS

Hi. There’s duplicates of photos showing up on the iOS app. For eg, if a photo has been uploaded, two versions show up side by side. The version on ente servers, and another local copy with a struck through cloud icon on the bottom left. Is this known and expected behaviour? Am I doing something wrong?...

Authy Export (Exporting codes using Android OTP Extractor)

I have a rooted Pixel 6 Pro device. Working on exporting from Authy to Aegis to Ente. What step is next? I can't run authy on the rooted devices as it doesn't meet integrity requirements. Email not registered

I recently was trying to log-in to my Ente app and It logged me out (never happened before). So, I tried logging in with the email that is know is registered to the account (because I have Log-in coded from Ente sent to the email), and its giving me an error messages saying 'email not registered' and 'Something went wrong'. I tried using my computer and tried logging in through the web and nothing is working.

Deleted duplicates are being synced again

Hi, when I finish the sync of all my iOS pictures to Ente and then delete duplicates via Ente, the app begins backing up the deleted duplicates from the device again. Causing an endless loop of duplicates being deleted and synced.

Free up space not doing anything

Hello team ente! I have an active subscription for ente photos with the 1tb plan and am backing up the dcim folder (roughly 160 GB) on a Google Pixel 7 running the latest Android 15. Ente Photos is already updated to the latest version available through play store. When using the free up space tool within ente photos, it appears to be doing something for a long time, but ends up not removing any already uploaded pictures. I can repeatedly run the function without any effect. The expected result is that ente Photos deletes all locally stored photos that have already been backed up to the ente Photos storage. My questions are: why is it not working as intended and what can I do to fix the issue?...

Migrating 2fa accounts from Authy to Ente Auth not working

Hi, I was trying to transfer 2fa codes from Authy to Ente Auth using the Method -4 in the migration guide. But when I open mitm.it on safari, it says: "If you can see this, traffic is not passing through mitmproxy" and I'm not getting the certificates to install. I have put the correct ip address of the pc i.e. ipv4 address. How can I make it work?

Device lock problem on iPhone using Touch ID

When I enable "Device lock" in the "App lock" settings on my old iPhone, it then requires TouchID, even though the device also has a PIN set. If for some reason my TouchID doesn't work (like if my hands are grubby), there's no option to switch to PIN to get in. Once "Device lock" is on, it's TouchID or you can't get in at all. Is this by design, or am I missing something?
