Repeated split lock detection/ bus_lock traps on journal from CHTTPClientThre on kernel 6.16.4

Discord keeps picking up browser audio when in voice-chat

I've tried to fiddle with mic settings on discord because i have a cheap JBL gaming headset with microphone and it usually picks any audio if left unchecked, no matter the OS. On windows it was relatively easy but i have issues doing it on bazzite, especially since from my brief search i haven't found anything useful. Could anyone land a helping hand and teach my newb ass how to make discord not pick whatever music or video i listen to?

xbox wireless controller series 2 CORE

hi ! I've tried everything now i need help I've tried pairing my controller (series 2 but CORE, issued with no dongle, bluetooth inside the gamepad). bazzite does not find it, but can find other BT like my TV, etc....i scoured reddit for solutions, nothing worked. Cyberpunk 2077 Resolution Problems

When I launch Cyberpunk 2077 it doesn't seem to be aware it's on an ultrawide monitor and only offers 16:9 / 16:10 resolution options. Things to note: I'm using Bazzite desktop version with nvidia GPU...

Solution:

Replying to myself. The fix was to use gamescope -w 5120 -h 1440 -W 5120 -H 1440 -- %command% in the launch options.

Force close application

Some games freeze my pc, that ok, but having to wait up to 10 or more minutes for the application to close makes it hard for me to try fixing the problem, the usual ways such as ALT-F4 and Ctrl-Alt-T close from terminal are not working because my entire pc is lagging, is there a way for me to either force restart my pc, or force closing current program?

Blender Intel Arc oneAPI issues

I'm running a custom image of Bazzite with additional items installed (relevantly, intel-compute-runtime, intel-level-zero-gpu-raytracing, and all their dependencies that they install) I have installed Blender via Steam If I launch Blender through Steam, my B580 (and CPU iGPU) are not available under oneAPI But if I launch Blender manually from the steamapps/common/Blender folder where it's installed, it shows what I expect and I can use my B580 Why would launching via Steam cause Blender to not be able to see my GPU? And if it has to do with Steam being a flatpak and not having access to my GPU or something, is there some workaround I can use to launch Blender through Steam and have my GPU be detected and usable?...

Hi i think i bricked my bazzite installation

So i haven't picked up my bazzite installled ally x for a while and today i charged it up and noticed im stuck on bazzite F41 and rebasing didn't work and there was no new update available so i hit the roll back update and now my system doesn't recognize my prior wifi connection, the time zone is set to eastern and handheld damon doesn't work

Fix grub with btrfs subvolumes

Basically I can't repair grub because there is no /bin/bash while using sudo chroot /mnt, and I think its because I have subvolumes in the btrfs so it doesnt work, is there any solution or I need ro reinstall?

Bluetooth not working

Using a 2025 Z13 with the latest Bazzite and Bluetooth doesn’t appear to be working. Updated and rebooted, but Bluetooth doesn’t detect anything. Going into desktop mode, Bluetooth is disabled, so I enabled, but it never does....

Games added as non steam game is lagging with cpu usage 100%.

Do you still need to manual partition when installing Bazzite?

I'm watching a setup video for dual booting, the same one put on the Bazzite website. In the video, he sets up a bunch of manual partitions when installing Bazzite. In the comments from about a month ago, he then said that in the beta ISOs for Bazzite, the dev team was working on automatic partitions. Are manual partitions still necessary? And if so, what would happen if I were to just have one partition on the SSD for Bazzite? (Separate from my Windows Partition of course) I've been on Windows my whole life and want to eventually make the move to a Linux distro, so I want to dual boot to see how Bazzite works for me and my wife....

Desktop Mode Games Freeze On Startup

I'm using a 2025 Flow Z13 with bazzite-deck installed. When I try to start yo a game in desktop mode the game instantly freezes. Depending on the game it'll show it's loading screen or a black screen. I can hear the game load up and running in the background though. I can even change the volume up and down but cannot do anything else. It gets stuck like this and requires a hard reboot. Was hoping to play in desktop mode because I heard the touchscreen works properly in games in desktop mode. Games run perfectly fine in steam big picture mode. I've tried both stable and testing versions. I've tried different installations of bazzite, desktop mode iso and all that it's still the same thing...

System crash while installing from my steam library

Edit: it was the heat after all, as a few suggested. I didn’t think a laptop less than 2 years old would already have thermal paste and putty going bad, but it did. New paste and putty and it’s back in action. Thank you to the team for their help. I installed Bazzite Debian this morning, updated everything, installed a few productivity apps, then went to download my games from Steam. Within a few minutes, the laptop would crash all the way out without warning. Powering back up boots normally and I can do updates, check email, whatever, then when I open Steam, it crashes anywhere from instantly to a few minutes. So far, I have tried running Steam before update, installing both stable and beta, updating the bios, ensuring bios settings matched install instructions. None of this helps. ...

Solution:

I am now 10 minutes into downloading warhammer ii on balanced power level, and while the temps are at 92c, they are holding. The fans did not spin up until 96c. Thats sad that Asus didn’t do any better of a job applying paste and putty on a “gaming computer” than this. So, the fault was heat, however, I can not spin up fans manually nor can I adjust for target temps. Thank you both for your time this morning (my morning anyway)...

Hey guys! first time using bazzite. I've been wanting to turn my old Predator helios 300 (3060 laptop gpu 6 gb vram, intel 11800H cpu, and 16 gb ram) into a gaming console for my tv. I have tried the official guide to connect an external monitor and it still refuses to use the TV as the main monitor. I've found this issue very annoying and I would love to have someone help and guide me through this. Thanks!

weird keybind override + alt tab lock

im not sure if this is the correct channel to be asking this but im running into some weird overriding issues with my key inputs when using certain programs along with some games perma locking aka preventing from alt tabbing or using borderless window to interact with two monitors. Basically when using an app that has key binds set to use alt+w/s it instead acts like im pressing shift w/s. the locked game is titan quest anniversary edition.
