RatOS 2.1 Kraken V-Core 3.1 confused on what to do next.

I need help with configuring the v-core 3.1. I am lost on what to do next. It's telling me to do what it says in printer.cfg. But, the first few lines are telling me to "Configure the behavior of RatOS macros" then "includes and overrides" and "Sanity check and PID Tuning"? umm, new to this. So. I think there should be a number of steps before you dive into all of that, right? I was thinking maybe something to do with testing the motors and make sure that they're working and doing in the right d...

4028 Tripping 12V Rail

Hi there, suddenly, my 12V Sanyo 4028 began tripping my boards 12V rail. It spins up for a second, then the 12V goes out. Power cycling the board resets the 12V rail. Any troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks.

Strange clicking sound on moves VCore4 300 Hybrid

See video below - the right side motor assembly seems to be making a periodic clicking noise. I'm waiting for this print to complete to try to locate it but I don't see anything obvious that would be causing it. There's no rattling, it's not any cable banging on moves and it seems to be more on toolhead movements (X) than on the Y axis. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this could be. My resonance on corexy is spot on and my input shaper in hybrid is solid.

Solution:

I had clicking early on and over the first 12 hours or so of printing it went away. Just print and see how it’s does.

Orbiter keeps giving random false runouts

Hi Everyone, I have an orbiter 2.0 on my RR vcore 3.1, and Ive been getting false runouts lately on the orbiter. Its really annoying coming into my room seeing my print paused and filament unloaded for no reason. Im using this orbitersensor.cfg, I havent really had to change much in a long time but this has been giving me issues. Could it be a hardware issue?...

Beacon connector sitting lower than the nozzle VCore 4

Hi I have the standard config with uhf Rapido VCore 4 400 and just noticed after finishing the build that the beacon plate/connector is lower than the actual nozzle. What went wrong here?

Solution:

Oh geez I just went back to the manual and I guess because the picture is so dark I did not see that the solder side is suppose to be downward 🤷

Raspberry pi keeps broking

Hi. That's 4th time when my raspberry pi zero 2w or mainsail stopped working. Yesterday everything was working like it should. Today i've started printer, i cannot connect to my vminion.local through browser. It looks like files on sdcard are broken, because when i reinstall everything it's working again. When i try to connect through ssh i got an information Could not resolve hostname vminion.local: Unknown host. I have 2nd rpi and problem is the same, it's happening even with different sd cards, after some time i get this errors. What might cause this problem?...

4028 Fan Config, updating from VCore 3.1 to new Toolhead V1.0 with RatOS 2.1

I am reusing my old 4028 fan from a rig bought 2022, installing it into the new Toolhead V1.0, and upgrading my firmware to OS 2.1. So far everything good, but I think my fan type does not work with the stock settings: I have the Blue PWM pin connected to the EBB42 1.2 toolboard, and the power pins wired to the Octopus 1.1 board. The problem I'm having is that the fan runs, but only when set to 100%, any other percentage and it stays off....

Solution:

Instead of banging my head against the wall on this, I decided to wire PWM to the Octopus, and carry the weight of the extra wire

Reassign Motor to new slot

I think the Octopus Pro 446 I have has an issue with the direction pin on the stepper_x (Motor0) slot. It only moves in one direction. If i Force move it FORCE_MOVE STEPPER=stepper_x DISTANCE=50 VELOCITY=50 It doesn't matter whether i move it + or - distance, it goes the same way. I bought new motors, bought new drivers, and swapped axis, it seems to be a board slot issue. Instead of purchasing a whole new Octopus board can I just reassign it to motor 3 slot? where X1 would normally be. Where do i reassign that variable?...

very inconsistent first layers on VC4

Since building my printer, I have had very inconsistent first layers, I did all the calibration and when it works, it works. But about 50% of the time it does not. I think I’ve narrowed it down to an issue with the Beacon contact and possibly some filament always being on the tip of the nozzle so the printer thinks it’s hit the bed before it actually has. Octopus Pro V1.1

Basically, it refuses be detected AND have Klipper. When I flash it through DFU, it says that it doesn`t have Klipper and when I try through microSD card, I refuses to be detected

Left belt seize/jump/binds through motion
