Kailh Choc V1 vs V2?

Hello everyone! Sorry for the noob question, but I have been pulling my hair out about this for a bit... I see a lot of discourse online about V1 vs V2, and I can't seem to determine what this corresponds to on their website, since they seem to no longer use this naming scheme. Any insight regarding their esoteric names and why I can't seem to find any V1 looking key heads on their website anymore? Additionally, can the V2s fit in the low profile corne board? I know the spacing on this board is smaller, but if I manage to find smaller keyheads for the MX style head, will the switches physically fit in the pcb? I think there needs to be a bigger center hole for the V2 to fit(?) Thanks so much for the help!...

Miryuko-Corne ZMK missing nav and mouse taps?

Hey all! I'm a first time user, and am just entering the ergo split world with a fresh 6-column typeractive kit. I find the Miryuko layout pretty intuitive, so I've been trying to get it working smoothly on my Corne. I've got it tuned how I'd like it, and everything is working with the exception of two layer taps, the Mouse and Nav layers. I currently have it set to build with the invertedt nav, as well as flipped layers, so it's two buttons on the right thumb cluster. But if I revert those changes, it's the same two buttons on the left thumb cluster that cease working. The taps themselves work fine (Tab and Space in the flipped layout). To me that sounds like it is config-related? My repo is here: https://github.com/jbertman/miryoku_zmk...

Issues with Flashing

On the hardware side, everything seems fine except for the initial part where i accidentally pushed the no-solder headers into b- and b+ which resulted to the no solder pins popping out. But i popped it back in and reassembled just fine. Everything was flushed, clicked nicely. However, the problem that i have is due to flashing. I followed joe scotto’s youtube tutorial for that and im fairly comfortable with software. I flashed the left, then right side and was able to connect the board via bluetooth. Here is the problem:...

Change controller

Hey, is it possible to later switchout the controller to make it wired instead of staying with wireless?

How can i make reusable combined modifiers?

I would like to make my keymap node a bit neater. How can I combine modifiers and reuse it for any keypress I want? I am not too much of a fan of the nested keycodes as it can get quite long: LC(LA(LG(LS(KP))))...

Edgecuts + button placements

Hello, I was wondering if you'd be willing to open source the edgecuts and power switch / reset button placement / PCB files, to help the community design alternative boards that can still use the aluminum case and other Typeractive accessories. For example designing a Lofree Choc v2-based board based off the MX layout.

Is this display broken?

the keyboard works good

Very very occasionally on pressing the key it will spam like 8+ key presses

key presses seem to spam keys very occastionally like every couple of weeks+

&mt do not repeat taps if pressed/released and held

I have set my right thumb key on my wireless Corne to &mt LEFT_SHIFT BACKSPACE, and set quick-tap-ms to somethings like 100, and yet the key never repeats

nice!nanos keep dying after charging

I've had to replace my nice!nanos on my wireless corne about 4 times now. It seems that when charging, something goes wrong and when I unplug the cable, I suddenly lose whole rows of keys. It has happened to both sides, but seems to affect the left side more. I've troubleshooted by replacing the controller from the left side, which restores the keys after reflashing. Do I have a short on my board, maybe on the solderless headers? Or do nice!nanos just not handle charging?

Grainy Display on the Left Half. Unable to Connect to PC

Hey all, I just finished assembling my Corne with nice!view. The right half looks OK, it shows this pretty balloon picture when I turn it on with the battery status, but the left half just shows a bunch of random black pixels and then shuts down after a couple seconds. The microcontroller is still recognized by the PC so I don't think it's because of hardware damage. I did follow the instruction to solder under 300 degrees. Is there any hope for me?...

Somehow this socket got soldered this way

I'm trying to desolder it but it's taking forever and I don't want to break it by pulling it out if it's not fully desoldered... I have no idea how this happened - I had pushed it down all the way and taped it It's like there's something blocking it but I don't know why it wouldn't have gone all the way through...

Problem flashing

Encountering the following errors when dragging my new uf2 files onto the boards on macOS The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items. The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “corne_right nice_view_adapter nice_view-nice_nano_v2-zmk.uf2” can’t be read or written....

backplates

Do the backplates actually make the back of the corne flush? I remember getting them on my lily, but the backplate still shows the pcb and soldering on the nice nano

Managing ZMK files

Hi, i am interested in knowing what the proper practice is for managing zmk files. Do you use separate files for your left and right halves? Do you use a separate file for your custom behaviors? Or do you just define them in your keymap files?...

broke spring headers

Hi I accidentally broke the no solder spring headers. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks...

Custom legends on keycaps.

I am building an application-specific keyboard for a music synthesizer using the switches and keycaps sourced here at Typeractive. Please, what are some common approaches to creating custom legends? I know I could order some simple alphabetical labels on Amazon and call it a day but I wish them to look pretty 🙂

Will i need to solder?

Hello! I've done some configuring on the website, also i've researched assembling documentation, but i just want to double check. If i order the keyboard like this (on the screenshots), will i need to solder anything? P.S. I already have switches and keycaps from my previous (broken) lily58....
