Mainsail to Moonraker Connection

I have a Mainsail to Moonraker connection issue while trying to install the firmware on my new V-minion. Following the RatOS configuration documentation, I was successful in installing RatOS v2.0.0 onto my pi3B+ and ran the RatOS configurator. I successfully started step 2 of the configurator which flashes the control board. My printer uses the SKR 2 (429) board. So I selected that option for the configurator to create the binary file to flash the control board. After installing the microSD card into the controlboard I powered everything up and logged into ratos.local which brought up Mainsail. Everything seems to be working per the instructions at this point until I try to update RatOS using Update Manager in Mainsail. I click on the update button and it starts the update process and then Mainsail tries to connect to Moonraker whereby I get a connection failed error "Cannot connect to Moonraker (ratos.local)". The trouble shooting section of the RatOS documentation said to fix this problem by adding your IP range in CIDR notation to the [authorization] section in "~/klipper_config/moonraker.conf" on the pi as follows: ssh ratos.local nano ~/klipper_config/moonraker.conf sudo systemctl restart moonraker...

Bed Mesh Issues for 500mm V-core

@beany As mentioned before the head is nearly colliding with the bed and I'm unsure what the issue may be. The mesh is indeed correct from what I've seen with the larger prints, so I'm thinking this could be mechanical or software related.

PID Tuning Caused Bed Heater To Not Work

I'm running thru the initial configuration & setup for my first V-Core 3.1 500mm build. I had zero issues running a few calibration cubes, and went onto doing PID Tuning. I was able to successfully PID tune the extruder, and moved onto doing the bed heater. About 1/2 through the PID process of heating to temperature of 100* (Print mostly ASA), Klipper returned an error of not heating at the expected rate. I restarted firmware, and proceeded to try and heat the bed again but it keeps returning the same error. Klipper shows giving the bed 100% power but the bed doesn't seem to heat up anymore. Bed heater is wired to the SSR correctly, ...

Sticky Axis

Hello, I recently assembled a V-Core 3.1 stock kit. There were significant problems with Gantry Racking with the right side not hitting the corner of the front - so I loosened the rail screws, as well as the screws on top, to try to straighten it out. I got it mostly straight - but have noticed inexplicably the following: Looking from the top, moving it up and down (Y-axis?) feels fine, really smooth - but the head sometimes moves a little bit to the right when moving it downward. However, moving the gantry left-and-right feels sticky, jittery, inconsistent. I don't really understand - I'm new to CoreXY, and both belts are going either direction, so why would be smooth and the other so rough? The tension feels identical between belts. Help....

Keenovo mat falling off, but I never went over 110°C

While printing PETG with a bed of 85°C I smelled something burned but only slightly. And then I found a huge bubble under the heating mat (1500W 220V). Some time ago I read that someone had this happen because of too high temperatures. I had printed a lot of printer parts at 110°C in ABS but I never noticed any problems and as I took it this temperature should have been fine. For the last while the hottest I had my print bed was at 85°C and now the mat is falling off.... ...

"Unable to read Tmc uart" stepper_z1"

Hi everyone. I have just finished building my vcore 3.1. I have changed my build slightly and purchased a manta m8p since my raspberry pi is tied up to a work project. I knew from searching around, there wasn't much trouble shooting or help using this board with ratos. I've got 3 printers running klipper already, all using skr mini boards. I thought id risk it, hoping everything would be good if I followed instructions to the letter. I guess not. First, I mounted everything and made up my power leads. My first test, try the heaters, all good. Second test, wire in probe, fans and Endstop. All good apart from the part cooling fan (I'll make a separate post for this). Lastly, I went for my motors....

Fan 4028 fan running at 100% when set to 0

I know there have been some posts on this but I cannot figure out what to do from this readme. https://os.ratrig.com/docs/configuration/includes-and-overrides/ Can someone post some specific on what the override code is to get this problem solved?

software bedmesh doesn’t seem to translate to physical bed

Basically I have my the current bed mesh that’s with 0.2 variance. The middle dip seems to be more of a bed problem. I have tightened and retightened X gantry and y rails but always end up with this shape. Nevertheless it’s an acceptable variance. However the low areas are to far from the nozzle and the upper areas are too high. So it seems my physical bed is not properly moving up and down according to the bed mesh. Am thinking not enough z torque or lube to the z rods? My steppers are uncooled so using the uncooled configs for the steppers if that makes a difference....
