How would one setup the build command to run a custom Static Site Generator?

Forgive me if I mix up terminology, and please do correct me if so. I've been wanting to go from handwritten HTML to a static site generator for a while, but all of the ones I can find abstract too much from the HTML and CSS to me. I've decided I want to make my own, but I'm not sure what it'd take to set it up so I can have it be used by cloudflare pages. I'm thinking of either using Java or Python for this project, because of prior experience with both; much as I'd love to use Java, though, the most recent version of the build system doesn't support it so the hassle probs isn't worth it. What hoops will I need to go through to set this up, for both Java and Python? edit for clarification: python seems more straightforward, main thing I really want answers for is what'd it'd take to use Java....

Service bindings does not work (at least locally) with Pages

I have problems getting service bindings to work with Pages when I develop locally. The issue seems to be that the service does not recognize the Request object when calling the service using fetch. I get it to work when I just send the plain url, but then the caller does not recognize the Response-object it receives. So somewhere in the code there is two versions of these objects creating problems....

Tailwind CSS not working with SvelteKit

I am using Tailwind CSS but by site doesn't work completely. It is partially working but some things are missing. Could it be, because tailwind is a devDependency?

Where to put a 404 page when having an SPA?

I want to deploy my site but I wanted to add a 404 page somewhere. I'm using SvelteKit and don't know if I even have to make a 404 page and if yes, does it need to be a .html or can it be a .svelte? How do I have to do this?

When will Pages gets Logging like workers?

https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/observability/logs/workers-logs/ just realized that it's only available in Workers not in Pages....
