Best approach to using cheat engine with Heroic launcher on linux?

I'm looking to get cheat engine working with games I have on the heroic launcher. I'm on Linux (I also tagged Steam Deck as it might help SD users). The games I have are various games I've downloaded outside of any launcher (like itch.io games). I'm guessing native Linux games won't work with Cheat Engine, but I have a ton that I'm running through wine/proton/protonGE. Can anyone help me with this please?

Can't sign in Rockstar Launcher

When I click "Play" in Heroic Launcher to play GTA V, the Rockstar Launcher pops up. Then, I can't write in the fields for email and password. I thought it could be a visual bug, so I copy-pasted my information. That didn't help either. I would be thankful if someone suggests solutions.

deleting amazon games after amazon log in is broken,

I installed a bunch of amazon games, the day after, log in is just an infinite loading screen. I cant even select them from my installed games to remove them if they are going to be this consistently fickle. I have tried to newest nile file and new update to no luck....

I update my game and it gets stuck

Help, I've been plagued by this issue for ages. Luckily for me I don't need to update my games often but whenever I do it gets stuck on a percent and wont go past. I have no way to solve this. I searched in support and couldn't fin a similar post unless I messed up a search term. Troubleshooting no gog achievements?

Hi, I installed 2.15.1, made sure Comet was enabled in adv cfg, logged in to Gog, installed a few games (e.g. FTL) and don't see saves or achievements. This is on ubuntu. I see "Launching comet!" in the logs when running FTL and "Killing comet!" when quitting it in the Heroic log, and I see "Loading achievements..." in the GOG and FTL logs. I know it's experimental, but is there anything I should do or try?

Resident Evil ReBirth instantly closes

I've been trying to get ReBirth to work using these instructions (I've made doubly sure I've set Heroic to download the japanese version) https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1255461308023836705/1255941090167750662 and the furthest I can get are the ReBirth settings. Afterwards a window opens and briefly goes fullscreen before closing out to the desktop. I checked the log but it doesn't really report any errors. I can get the game working by just using WINEDLLOVERRIDES=ddraw.dll=n,b;dinput.dll=n,b but that comes with the problems of FMVs not working and controller support being ass at best. I tried the above instructions using Lutris thinking it might be dgvoodoo2 throwing the whole thing off but I got the same results. Is there something else I'm missing or are the GOG rereleases of Resident Evil just broken on Linux?...

Steam Deck: heroic Shadow of the tomb raider black screen

I have seen a couple of posts in this support but they all seem to be for Windows and may not apply to my situation. I am able to launch the game from heroic as well as from steamos no problem. I do see the credits (logos) but as soon as the credits are over it's a black screen with only sound. ...

Wine configuration stuck on "being updated"

Hello there! I have successfully installed Heroic and logged into my Epic account. Among Us was the first game I installed, however, when I pressed launch, the wine configuration took forever, so I decided to terminate this process. Small tinkering, I figured out that the Wine itself isn't installed so I went ahead and installed it, rebooted, uninstalled Among Us, installed it again selecting Wine-GE-Proton-8-26 provided by Heroic. I was hoping that that is enough, but when I launch Among Us now after the reinstallation, the Wine configuration is still stuck on "being updated". I hope to get some assistance with this, as I do not consider myself experienced enough to solve the issue, don't want to break anything. Screenshot of the stuck Wine window is attached....

Kingdom Come Deliverance stopped working

Hi there, I've been playing KCD for a few days, and now it randomly won't start. I can get to this pop-up (attached screen) but won't go further and will turn off. AFAIK wasn't updating anything, at least not on purpose. NVIDIA driver 560.35.03, attaching log. Game is from epic, tried running with different proton/wine versions, tried repairing files....

Alien Isolation not working

The game works mostly well until a certain point where it says "error writing hard drive cache" or something along those lines. All solutions Ive seen online is running the game as administrator. However, I dont know if that is possible on linux without just using sudo. How would I go about at least trying this solution? Any help is appreciated. Im using linux mint, flatpak and wine-ge-26-x86_54...

Getting Gothic 2 working

First I just tried to run it using latest Wine. Aside from a missized load screen or two I get no video and overlapping random audio. Can't start Stellaris.
