Very stange Bed Mesh ....

Dear all, I got some really strange Bed mesh ,,, both on the bare aluminium plate and also with PEI applied. looks like a trench which is a bit falling towards the rear. already re-tightend the MGN12 X-rail .... in the end always the same. Any idea what could be wrong with my gantry? Overall its 0.166mm on a Vcore 400...

Issue with beacon_calibrate

Hi everybody, I assembled the V4 500 idex and follow the commissioning guide. At the step "BEACON_INITIAL_CALIBRATION", the monitor returns that the command is unknown... Also, ath the begining of this guide, I founded that my "printer.cfg" file wasn't as big as shown. It doesn't contain sa many lines and I didn't have the commented section "SAVE CONFIG" Can somebody help me please? Thanks a lot....

BedMesh both COLD & HOT show too great of range tolerance?

Hello All- After much trouble of sorting out a bad MCU board, I'm going through the paces of commissioning and tweaking. While creating my BED_MESH readings & calibrations I noticed that my textured bed on my RatRig VCore 3 shows quite a large mound or distance above the level plane. Should I be concerned about this? The variance levels to me look too far above the level plane to be usable...what can or should I do to correct this? 2 screenshots with all the numbers showing for comparison....

What is a "beacon model convergence. Error" just happened today. The beacon is still reachable.

beacon Probe Sample spread too large

I keep getting this error. I have checked all possible causes multiple times, tightened all screws several times, and inspected everything. When I perform the calibration cold, it works and completes successfully. However, when heating up and the measurement is taken, the calibration fails every time. I have already brought the system up to operating temperature to eliminate deformations, but the problem persists. Any solutions ?

Cant turn on VAOC Led

Hi, I wanted to calibrate my idex300 with the vaoc, but I'm not able to turn the LED on. I checked every cable and pin placement and measured the + / - pin with a multimeter on the connector of the led and it says 5V. In my printer config is no definition for the vaoc led (expect the macros). Is there anything missing or needed to be added? The camera itself is running fine. Thanks for the help...

Error loading kinematics 'ratos_hybrid_corexy' after hard recovery of klipper

Hi i got "corrupt" on klipper software so i run hard recovery and now my klipper reports ERROR as in tittle "Error loading kinematics 'ratos_hybrid_corexy'".... What should i do?

Temperature readings from hotend thermistor wrong/inverted

So I have the ratrig v-core 4 400mm. Did most of the hardware aaaaages ago and only got around to trying to configure the software recently. At powerup the hotend cooling fan ramps up as high as it'll go, and reportted temp in the web interface is 130C. I've removed the jumper to see how that affects it and it then hovers at 150C. Heating up the hotend caused the temperature to drop rather than increase. Is there something configured wrong somewhere? I've also measured the resistance when not in the system and am getting around 1kOhm, same as another rapido hotend that i just took out of its' box...
Solution:
ahh im an idiot, had the wrong hotend selected in the config

1st layer inconsistency

I'm having trouble getting a good consistent first layer. Sometimes it's ok other time I gotta restart the print. I get some ribboning it's usually after 20-30 lines. Even baby stepping doesn't really fix my issue

Orbiter 2 smart sensor fialment does not unload

Since i installed my orbiter 2 smart sensor on my v core 4 I have problems unloading filament, it seems there is a small blob in the end of the filament getting stuck in the entrance (from inside) to the sensor, and this happens every time. I Have searched the forums but can't find anyone else describing the same problem. Do I need to change the unload macro or is there something wrong with my sensor?

What is my belt tensioning graph telling me?

I added a beacon a few weeks ago, and cant seem to get my tension right after.. how come i get 3 peaks? are both at the right tension, but just need a fine tune? or are the to tight or to loose?

VAOC no stream detected

So I am setting up a VCORE 4 IDEX 500. I set up the VAOC no stream detected. hooked up to a PC and it would detect but no display. Ordered a new 3d0 camera from frabreeko. Installed a new board and now it displays on my PC but I still get no stream detected on the printer. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Solution:
So this problem is 2 fold. The first VAOC cam board was bad. Mix in the fact that I forgot to put the jumper from the Raspberry pi to the hub hat and lastly the VAOC will not work unless plugged into the 3.1 port of the pi itself. It will not work on the hat usb terminals. but it will be detected.

I accidentaly took out the metal sheet on top of the bed when I was trying to put axes to home

I am already trying to print the 3d parts that are broken, What steps should i do next?

Lost communication with Toolboard

I am bringing up a v-chonk with standard parts including skrat 1.0, and EBB42 V1.2 . All the components appear to be working: I can home, extrude, generate a height map and run the other calibration macros. But when I try to print anything the pi loses communication with the toolboard just after the prime_blob is started and the z axis starts to rise. It is very repeatable; not at all random. So far I have: -changed the Pi from a 3 B+ to a 4 -changed the USB cable to a higher quality...

Printer stopping mid-print

So, my printer just started stopping mid print for no apparent reason, and always stops at the same spot. At first I thought it was something to do with the sd card but I bought a new one and nothing changed. There is no errors, no warnings, and the print acts like it still going on but no flow or speed obviously (see image). ...

Input Shaper bad Y

Hey everyone, I just converted a core XY printer to klipper and use the accelometer of a beacon Rev. H for belt tension and Input Shaper. I've fairly got some experience with building 3d printers and also with klipper, but I can't get rid of this 125Hz peak on the Y axis. The X looks absolutely dope with 15k mzv. I aligned and squared the gantry, made sure that belt tension is equal, zip tied everything that could move and checked every screw. I'd like to at least get below 1.5% vib and over 5k...

Smart sensor always showing empty, even though the LED switches to green just fine

Hey guys, been setting up my Orbiter Smart Sensor yesterday, made all the connections fine, it also did work yesterday with PETG. Now today I decided to swap to PLA, and since then, the lights on the Sensor are Green with filament, Red without, unloading and tangle also both work. On the Mainsail interface however, the sensor now shows as always empty, is there any files where I can see if its actually transmitting data to the mainboard? Thx...
Solution:
somehow switching PB3 and PB4 in the config did the trick

Linear rail not sitting flat

I'm in pursuit of getting a really solid mechanical starting point, I've always just 'solved it in software' before. This time I'm aiming for a sub 0.1mm spread across the bed, if I can get it. I'm edging closer with the creation of some jigs to make minor adjustments, but I think I'm now being hamstrung by a linear rail that just doesn't want to sit flat across the extrusion, as per the bed scan image. My feeling is that the low points are likely a cause of the linear rail not sitting nicely, too. As the image shows, the right (as you look at the front of the printer) Y linear rail now seems reasonably well situated/tuned in terms of the frame. Similarly, both corners of the 'left' Y linear rail are close to the same plane. Any pro tips on resolving this? I'd like to avoid shimming if at all possible. So far, I've been using the standard guide rail jigs, loosening all screws off (except the rear end) and then untightening all the way, before gently tightening down (so as to allow the t-nut to move inside the channel and properly grip), before tightening fully and moving on to the next one. The thought process being that this would prevent any squeezing of the rails between the two end points. Perhaps I should also try starting from the middle and moving out in each direction one by one......

Move Out of Range Error When Measuring T1 Belt Tension

Hi Guys, this error started popping up every time I try to measure the T1 belt tension on my V-Core 4 IDEX. It didn’t happen before, but it started after I installed all the updates. I have also re-tensioned the belts. Please take a look at the error message in the attached picture. I have no idea what’s causing it. T0 works without any issues. ...
