V-Minion autolevel problem #fix-my-printer

#fix-my-printer #v-minion Hello, I have problem with my V-Minion (now I'm on RatOS 2 and its stilo there). In attachment is photo of print and the bed map - no matter what I do with gantry, no matter how will look the bed scan - printer always "compensate" on the way that on one side its clearly too close and on the other clearly too far What can be the solutions since its probably soft problem?...

Toolhead parts cooling fan

Im sorry to bother you but im new to all this printer setup stuff. i just got a v-core 4 500m idex and just put it together. i like to be able to control the parts cooling fans i have inserted left toolhead fan pwm wire in PD15, power wires in fan7. right toolhead fan pwm wire in PD14, power wires in fan6. how would i go out setting the .cfg to do this. thank you for your time if you could help me

Smooth idlers VFA on Y axis

I have a V-Core 4 IDEX Disregard the horizontal lines issue (that was probably filament diameter fluctuation). I'm getting these vertical lines that I assume are caused by the smooth idlers of the Y motors. If you check the pictures, only the side where we have more Y axis travel has these. Can anyone confirm? Has anyone tested toothed idlers? The vertical patterns match the belts pitch. I get this on every print....

Fans turning off when powered

Having an interesting issue since setting up a voron 0 with RatOS 2.1 using an EBB36 toolboard - When the printer is first powered on, the hotend and part cooling fans sit at max speed, and when changing the speed in mainsail, it seems like the fan power is inverted, so at 100% fan speed, the fans turn off, and at 0% fan speed, they are at full speed. Interestingly, this is only happening on the fans connected to the EBB board, and the aux fans plugged into the Manta M4p work as expected Any help would be appreciated...

Out of Range Error

I keep getting "Move out of range: 561.007 484.616 36.032 [7551.394]" error at random times and printhead locations. VAOC sets the limit to about 559 so I don't understand what is happening. I did find one post with the same problem and he added a 1mm shim to the x limit sensors and that solved his problem. But that is still confusing. Anyone have any idea on what the issue is? I've had this problem since the beginning.

Toolhead carriage clicking noise in middle of gantry

Anyone else ever hear this clicking sound as their toolhead moves along the X gantry? You can hear it at 0:03 and 0:18 in the clip https://photos.app.goo.gl/Z4HyQHudLK7f4eVW6...

Solution:

I've isolated the problem to the rear idler on the XY joiner. If I just barely touch the idler as te carriage is moving left to right, the noise goes away

Error during homing contact: No trigger on probe after full movement

I keep getting this error when starting a print. From the dashboard I can home all and z tilt. I was able to generate a test mesh so the beacon appears to be working properly otherwise. When starting a print the bed and hotend soak and come to temp and this error gets thrown.

stepper_x1 failed to init

I get this error message during commissioning, I checked and rechecked my wiring and all my X motor cables are correctly installed Board is BTT Octopus v1.1 F446, Hybrid build, I have the ratrig configuration followed with my parts, so nothing extra or changed Also tried shifting the stepper drivers around (2209) to see if that fixed it, it did not change anything I have also gone through the initial setup configurator, and started following the steps in commissioning ...

5mm diff of diagonals in VC4 500

Especially being a vcore4, the connections should have self-squared it pretty well

IDEX motion, carriage 0 is correct, but carriage 1 is moving both

Getting the IDEX up and running, ran through the configurator for IDEX. But carriage 1 movement commands result in both moving diagonally. What did I miss? T0 move the correct distance and direction. T1 when ordered to move -10mm, both toolhead move towards each other and the entire rail moves towards the front of the machine....

Configurator 502 Bad Gatewaynginx/1.18.0

I just reinstalled RatOS on a new SDcard (Old ones seems to have ben haivng issues.) and now I can't launch the Configurator. It immediately goes to an error page. 502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.18.0 Any ideas?...

Building my V-Core 4 but missing the (4) 5x8x10mm spacers in my kit

Would it affect the machine in any way if I use two 5x8x5mm spacers to replace the one 5x8x10mm one? Couldn't find any 5x8x10 that would arrive anytime soon. I personally don't think it will affect anything but since this is my first V-Core 4, I wanted to make sure. Also, will I need more further down the build? Tried looking. Thanks!...

RatPack - Fan config for BTT Octopus Max EZ

Hi all, I'm trying to setup the RatPack on my VC4 using the BTT Octopus Max EZ board, however, I've only got a single 2 pin FAN port free, my question is....... A - If I use the 2 pin port for the +&- can I use the PWM pin on the 4 pin CNC FAN B - Can I use the 4 pin CNC FAN with the RatPack and if so how would I configure this? ...

vcore4 bed heater issue

need help. vcore4 idex 500, bed heater will not heat up. wiring verified correct, 24v to bed power on octopus v1.1 446 is present. I have replaced the octopus board, ssr, bed heater, verified fuses are good. 1.3v on the bed out terminals but when I set the temp up to the bed i get voltage bouncing all over the place. Indicator on SSR does not light up. tested a 3rd SSR, also no indicator light. tried running RATOS configurator multiple times. no luck. At my wits end.

Starting a new print after one is done.

So after a print on my VC3.1 - 300 is finished. Next time it starts up it just skipps in the extruder. If i prehead the extruder and open the bondtech extruder and tries to push it through. I just wont go. If i pull it out cut the end of at an angle and push it back into the extruder then i goes through the hotend with ease and extrudes out nicley. I have tried to dismantle the extruder and hotend and changed the ptfe tube in there to a new one. But still the problem persists. Do i need to pull...

Sensor extruder temperature not in range

Ratrig v core 4. I checked the crimping of the pt1000 cable - all good. One pin on the ebb 42 board for the jumper of pt1000 is shorter - should I solder the pins together, maybe the jumper is not working?
