Long pause after print line
V-Core 3 Standard kit
After the print line, my printer will pause for 3 to 4 minutes, all the while creating a plastic cap on the nozzle....
Strange START_PRINT macro on vcore 3.1 500
Hi. Using the default slicing profile I observed that right after the bed mesh 7x7 and a little wait for the temperature the print goes to Y 0 and X negative 7mm - the print head then bumps the left side hard and does a nozzle wipe and starts to print.
Why is this set to do this at -7? How can I either set the wipe to x=0 or set the origin at +7, 0 to allow movement to -7?...
extruder thermistor problem and changing pin
How can i change the default pin for the extruder thermistor? I'm on octopus pro, it's currently in T0, i want to move it to T1. I assume i need to modify something in printer.cfg. Using a rapido uhf if it makes a difference.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a "heater not heating" error that seems to happen randomly. Sometimes it goes off as soon I start heating, sometimes after a couple hours. Otherwise the temperature seems fine.
I believe it's due to wiring or a bad connection in the usual slot on the board (possibly damaged after i struggled to take out the connector)...

Sensorless Homing
Using sensorless Homing I had to decrease the devault for driver_SGTHRS from 70 to 30 to avoid false positives of limit detection.
Now I tensioned the belts some more to improve Y ringing and I had to lower to 20.
Am I on the wrong track? What is your driver_SGTHRS?...
Z-TILT-ADJUST fails with weird movement
After a slight rebuild of my VCore 3.0 400, I cannot get the Z_TILT_ADJUST to work.
Printer.cfg is attached. Printer homes fine, and I can manually move to all the [points] specified in the [z_tilt] section. As you can see in the video, it moves to the first point fine, but after that some weird stepper sound and it moves off the plate.
Console output as follows:...
Deep Resonance
I have recently built my vcore 3.1 500 and I am having an issue with very pronounced ghosting on the X axis. Deep enough to feel. The Y axis is mostly fine.
Tightening the belts past (what I think) is too tight does not fix it. And at this point loosening the belts does not impact it. I have just done a check and did not find any loose nuts or bolts. I do not believe the belt is rubbing against the printed parts.
I do not yet have an ADXL345....

Connecting a 12V 4 pin part fan
Hi, my build is coming along well - just the part cooling fan - delivered with the original kit - remains. It comes with a 4 pin plug I will probably need to cut and extend. I found some hints how to connect this type of fan to the octopus 1.1 but those are partly contratiting each other.
Has anyone done this step successfully and can tell me to what color (we got red black yellow blue) goes to that pin and how to set the relevant jumpers?
Thanks!...
Hotend and Bed Temp Issues?
Hi all,
As shown in the picture below i keep getting this issue on my prints. It starts printing just fine on the first dozen or so layers, and then as soon as i walk away and come back i return to this. The extruder is gently clicking and whisps and hairs are coming out. This has happened 5 times in a row.
I think the issue is that the hotend is not actually as hot as the firmware thinks, which is supposed to be between 215C-220C. Also after heating the bed plate for about 20 mins it reads 55°C rather than the 60°C asked for. (Laser thermometer test)...

Bed level issue?
Wondering if anyone else observed similar issue.. I noticed on doing a first layer print test with prints in various locations on the bed, the first layer print always seems to be thinner toward the front of the bed.. if the BLprobe does the bed levelling test prior to print start, I question why this issue should be showing up..
V-Minion Y axis chattering, not homing
Hi all, my V-Minion has been flawless since I got the firmware to load properly (thanks for that!) But tonight it has started failing to home the Y axis entirely. I didn't change anything, the endstop triggers properly in Klipper when I query it, but it vibrates like the belt is skipping and alternates between the 'no trigger on Y after full movement' and 'y triggered after movement' (or something to that effect) as though it thinks it is somewhere in the travel that it isn't. I tightened the b...
VCore 3.1 resonance on horizontal moves
My newly built 3.1 doesn't seem to like horizontal moves, but seems much happier on diagonals (I just realized the stepper speeds up for diagonals, so could just be due to the speed of the stepper).
https://youtu.be/vYWcLRGib8c
The above video is at 75 mm/s using spreadcycle, so no stealthchop applied here. I have tried the "fix" involving switching stepper poles and inverting the direction, but that seems to have no effect....
Homing not working
Hi, I just finished wiring my new core 3.1 and installed the firmware and ratOS. If I login and tap the X homing button, the bed moves down maybe 10mm and X moves a short distance and then stops.
The octopus 1.1 shows some red leds and one green near the end stops.
I checked the wiring - I planned not to use endstops but wired them anyway just to try if that would help - but did not....

How to address Z binding?
I find lots of posts mentioning z binding. But I'm not finding much on how to address the binding.
RIght now the z movement is louder than when I first got the machine up and running. I want to see if I can get the problem fixed.

Bl-touch not working
Hi I have a V-Core 3 500
and when the bl touch probes the bed it doesn’t seem to do anything. the height between the bed and the extruder is always inconsistent. can someone please help!...
Carriage slowly drifting to rear left
I thought I'd fixed my problems and then new ones showed up.
So I managed to get a decent benchy printed at last, then a friend recommended I switch nozzles back to a 0.4 for the initial tests. I did and after some fiddling with the bltouch probe I got it back in working order.
Then as I went to do a first layer print, the carriage scraped the bed and after that I've been noticing the carriage has been slowly drifting to the rear left of the printer whenever it moves diagonally to the front right. When it did the initial bed levelling, it drifted further until the bltouch was off the bed and it collided with the carriage....

Over temperature TMC2209 error even with replacement TMC2209
got a GSTAT error the other day. So swapped to higher flow fans on my BTT Octopus Pro 446. Ran two big prints without a problem.
Last night, than again today got over temp errors again from stepper_y. IR temp sensor says yes, stepper driver _Y was definitely hotter than the rest (~55°C diff others at ~35°C... yes cooled a bit after shut-down after the error state that stopped the print) Checking the motors, Y was actually cooler to the touch than X. So examined the wiring. No detectable issues when ohm-ing them and jerking the connectors around (no opens or shorts). Same for the motors themselves. (ohming)
the error didn't appear to show up in klipper.log (see attached)
This is stock RatOS (not 2.0) high perf stepper configs, BTT TMC2209s with the larger heat sinks. I'd already backed down the motor currents to 1.5A well before ever getting this error.

mosquito hotend verify heater problem
I just installed a mosquito magnum hotend and upgraded it with the slice 50w heater and rtd1000 thermistor. I've configured it for the thermistor and can't configure the heater. I can't find the heater settings in the printer files nor do I know what to set them to. the heater doesn't heat over 340 and also takes about 5 minutes to get to that temp and then I get the error. I can't find any info on it the only thing I changed for the heater was the max temp not sure how to do anything else
Bed temperature not stable (Keenovo 157 220V 600W)
Hi all,
After installation and initial setup of my 300 size V3.1, I notice the following in the temperature graph. The hot-end thermocouple is stable as a rock, but the bed thermocouple (integrated in the silicone heater) is very unstable. It seems to go up and down by about 2 degrees (18 - 20 C range in this image). The signal change is slow (thus low-frequency) and happens while the bed it not heated.
I switched the TC to a different input, the same thing happens....
